Obituary for Huda Gabbard

Huda E. Gabbard was born September 13, 1919 in Jackson County and departed this life Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Jackson Manor in Annville, being 98 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Mark & Lena Cook Bales.
Huda is survived by one brother, Houston Bales of Tyner and by a sister Alice Gilbert of McKee. She was blessed with a host of nieces and nephews and by four special caretakers, Kim Gray, Tanda Isaacs, Brenda Isaacs and Joyce Hartsock.
In addition to her parents, Huda was also preceded in death by her husband, Hargis Gabbard; by two sons, Scottie Gabbard and Hollis Gabbard, by one sister, Hida Witt and by five brothers, Fred Bales, Eldon Bales, Mark Bales Jr., George Bales, and Hugh Bales.
Huda was a member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral service 3:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Bales and Bro. Eddy Judd officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
