Obituary for Covy H. Chappell

Covy H. Chappell, age 88 of Huber Heights, OH reunited with his wife, Nellie Marie on April 7, 2017. He was born April 6, 1929 in Chappell, KY to the late John Chappell and Dorcas Chappel-Farmer. In addition to his wife and parents, Covy was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Farmer and sister, Beulah Wilson.

He is survived by his son, Ronald (Elaine) Chappell of Celina, OH; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; brothers, John A. Farmer, Derek Farmer and Carl Farmer; sister, Loretta Wilson; and numerous extended family and friends.

Covy served in the U.S. Army from August, 1945 to March 1950. He worked and retired from Delco Moraine after over 30 years of service. Following retirement, he worked part time for Fidelity Prescriptions from 1986 to 2017. Covy was a member of the Brantwood Baptist Church for over 25 years.

Funeral services were held 2:00PM Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Lakes Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Smith Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
