Obituary for Charlie Brockman

Charlie Brockman was born March 20, 1949 in Jackson County and departed this life Monday, August 14, 2017 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, being 68 years of age. He was the son of the late George Ambrose Brockman and Nannie Elizabeth (Collinsworth) Brockman.
Charlie is survived by three children: George Albert Brockman and his wife Rebecca of McKee, Jessie Regina Rose and her husband Tim of Sand Gap and Hattie Lucy Scalf of Berea. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Whitten of McKee and Jessie Adams of Sand Gap. Charlie was blessed with three grandchildren, James Cory Scalf, Matthew Scalf and Aimee Brockman.
Charlie was a veteran of the United States Army.

Funeral service 11:00AM Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. John Harris officiating. Burial followed in the Murphy Cemetery. Graveside military services were conducted by the following members of the D.A.V. Jack Welch Chapter #165, Bobby Lakes, David Gray, Roy Callahan, Fred Sandlin, James G. Byrd, Leon Bales, Jim Bryant, Danny Robinson, Lewis Sparks, Mike Montgomery and Paul Trent. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
