Luther Parrett was born December 3, 1926 in Jackson County and departed this life Monday, January 31, 2011 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, being 84 years of age. He was the son of the late Hiram & Louise (Lakes) Parrett.

Luther is survived by his wife: Narcis (Bingham) Parrett of McKee; by two daughters: Brenda Robinson & husband Danny of McKee and Linda Moore & husband Jimmy of McKee; and by two step children: Janie Stublefield & husband David of Nashville, TN and Scott Tussey & wife Gracie of McKee. He is also survived by a sister: Marie Williams of Eaton, OH and by three brothers: Junior Parrett of Berea, Gene Parrett of Middletown, OH and Edward Parrett of Dayton, OH. Luther was blessed with twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Luther was also preceded in death by his first wife: Christine Parrett; by two sisters: Modena Baker and Hazel Holiday and by a brother: Calvin Parrett.

Luther was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He was also retired from P.R.T.C.

Funeral service was held 12:30 PM Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Angel, Bro. Wiley Cole and Bro. Shane Gabbard officiating. Burial followed in the Birch Lick Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
